We are Ephemeral

I created the Lotus series in 2015 while my father was dying of pancreatic cancer.  All of the pieces in that series have an air of contemplation about them. What is important? What will you leave behind when this ends? Because it will end. What will be your legacy? A gold watch? Five years of unused sick days? The money in your bank account? The larger sum of money in your employer's bank account? What is important to you? Time with your family? Time with your friends? Time at the office? Time? From dust we are born, and from dust we shall return, but in between we are all given the same thing - We are all given a lifetime.
